Job Description

*Job Overview*
We are seeking a talented Associate Dentist to join us in our busy three surgery dental practice in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire for maternity cover lasting 12 months.

Our principal and associate dentists have special interests, including dental implants, orthodontics and facial aesthetics. We encourage and support our dentists to develop their skills and to use their skills to expand the services within the practice.

The practice offers a support team comprising of, hygiene/therapists, management team, nursing team who are all trained and registered together with an efficient reception team.

X-rays are digital and we use Software of Excellence and Exact dental software. Surgeries are all well equipped and up to date. We have a stable patient base comprising of Care Plan patients and private patients. We have a contract with the NHS for children. The successful candidate will be looking after a full and busy diary for 3-4 days per week.

Remuneration – 50% negotiable

*Duties*

* Conduct thorough dental examinations and diagnose oral health issues using clinical assessments and medical imaging tools.
* Develop personalised treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, explaining procedures clearly and compassionately.
* Perform a wide range of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, root canal treatments, and cosmetic dentistry.
* Maintain detailed patient records in compliance with legal and organisational standards.
* Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
* Stay updated with the latest advancements in dentistry, including anatomy knowledge and emerging treatment techniques.

*Requirements*

* Fully qualified Dentist with valid registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
* Valid indemnity insurance.
* Proof of right to work in the UK.
* DBS.
* NHS performer number woud be an advantage.
* Proven experience in general dentistry; specialisation is advantageous but not essential.
* Familiarity with medical imaging techniques such as X-rays or digital scans is essential.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly to patients.
* Organised with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
